COMMENT
The Padouca were displaced
from the Great Plains by the Comanche around 1750. These Comanche
then also became known as the "Padouca" by the Europeans,
which is really confusing. Some of the fleeing Padouca went to
live independently amongst the Kiowa, others merged with the
Jicarilla Apache. |
